Y= -1

So x2- y2= 2x2 + ( -1x-1)
=4+1

=5

x+2y=0

+3x-2y=-8

» 4x=-8

» x=-8/4

» x=-2

substituting the value of x in eq 1

» x+2y=0

»(-2)+2y=0

»-2+2y=0

»2y=2

»y=2/2

»y=1

--------(-2)² -(1) ²

--------4-1

---------3

so x²-y² is equal to 3
