x+2y=8

xy=6

x=8-2y

x=6/y

8-2y=6/y

y(8-2y)=6

8y-2y²=6

-2y² + 8y -6=0

-2y² +6y +2y -6 =0

-2y( y - 3) +2(y-3)

(-2y+2) (y-3)

y=1,3

and value of

x= 8-2y

x= 8-2(1)

x=8-2

x=6

and another value

x=8-3(2)

x=8-6

x=2

value of

x=6,2 and y=1,3
