Answer:

34   plz mark as brainliest plzzz .....

Step-by-step explanation:

x = 3+2√2

x^2 = (3+2√2)^2

x^2 = (3)^2 + 2(3)(2√2) + (2√2)^2

x^2 = 9+12√2+8

x^2 = 17+12√2  ------(1)

1/x^2 = 1/17+12√2           (putting value of x^2 from equation 1)

1/x^2 = multiplying and dividing by 17- 12√2 to rationalize the        denominator

So,  1/x^2 = 17-12√2  --------(2)

x^2 + 1/x^2  = 17 + 12√2 + 17 - 12√2  (putting values of x^2 and

                                                              1/x^2 from equation 1 and

                                                               2)

x^2 + 1/x^2 = 17 + 17

x^2 + 1/x^2 = 34
