WE KNOW  

x=3+2√2  

SO,  

x+1/X = 3+2√2+1 ÷ 3+2√2

==> 4+2√2 / 3+2√2

BY RATIONALISE

4+2√2 / 3+2√2  INTO 3-2√ 2/ 3-2√2

==> 12-8√2+6√2-8  / 9-8

==> 4-2√2 / 1

==> 4-2√2

==> 2√2 [ √2-1 ]
