So now, we find the value of $\frac{1}{x}$ alone, by substituting the value.

$\frac{1}{3+2\sqrt{2} } \frac{3-2\sqrt{2} }{3 - 2\sqrt{2} }$

(Here we rationalize the denominator)

$[tex]\frac{3 - 2\sqrt{2} }{3^{2 - 2\sqrt{2^{2} } } }$[/tex]

$\frac{3 - \sqrt{2} }{9 -8}$

∴ 3 - 2√2 is the value of $\frac{1}{x}$ ← 1
