if x= 3+2 root 2 the value of x^2+1/x^2 is​

Answer = 20

Solution: x= 3+2 root 2

= 5 root 2.

Therefore; x^2 + 1/x^2

= 5√2^2 + 1/5√2^2

Root and square cancel,

Therefore;

=5 × 2 + 1/5× 2

= 10 + 10

= 20.
