If x – 3 and x - 1/3 are both factors of px root 2 + 5x + r, then show that p = r.

(x - 3)(x -  \frac{1}{3} ) =  {x}^{2}  -  \frac{10}{3} x + 1 =

comparing it with given polynomial

 \frac{p}{1}  =  \frac{5}{ -  \frac{10}{3} }  =  \frac{r}{1}

p =  -  \frac{5 \times 3}{10}  =  -  \frac{3}{2}

r =  -  \frac{5 \times 3}{10}  =  -  \frac{3}{2}

so p = r
