Given quadratic equation :-

mx²+7x+n=0

Here , m ------› coefficient of

7 -------› coefficient of x

n -------› constant .

Two roots are -3 and 2/3.

  • Sum of the roots = -3 + (2/3)

= -7/3

= -( coefficient of x ) / coefficient of x²

= - 7/m

So, m = 3

  • Product of the roots = (-3) × (2/3)

= -6/3

= constant/ coefficient of

= n / m

So, n = -6

So, the value of m is 3 and n is -6
