hey mate

given here

if x-3 divides x^2-px+12 then find p

if x-3 is a factors of given polynomial

so,

x= 3 ,exist this polynomial ..

now,

put x= 3, this polynomial ..

we get ,

=> (3) ²-p(3)+12=0

=>9 -3p+12=0

=>3p=21

=>p= 21/3

=>p= 7

thus:

value of p will be

= 7
