Given that

x - 3 is a factor of the polynomial 2x² + x + k

To Find

To find = k

Then according to question :-

x - 3 = 0

x = 3

→ putting the value of x

2x² + x + k = 0

2 × 3² + 3 + k = 0

2 × 9 + 3 + k = 0

18 + 3 + k = 0

21 + k = 0

k = -21
