QuestioN :-

  • If ( x - 3 ) is a factor of the polynomial ( 2x² + x + k ) find k

SolutioN :-

If ( x - 3 ) is a factor of the polynomial ( 2x² + x + k ) , then

→ x - 3 = 0

→ x = 3

Substitute value of x in 2x² + x + k

→ 2 ( 3 )² + 3 + k = 0

→ 21 + k = 0

→ k = - 21
