hiii!!!

here's ur answer....

p(x) = x² - kx - 6 = 0

g(x) = x - 3 = 0

x = 3

on putting values :-

p(3) = (3)² - k(3) - 6 = 0

= 9 - 3k - 6 = 0

= 3 - 3k = 0

= -3k = -3

= 3k = 3

k = 3/3

k = 1

the value of k = 1

( k - 1 ) is a factor.

hope this helps..!!
