x=3 is a root of the equation.
so putting the value of x in equation we get^_^
x^2-2kx-6=3^2-2*3k-6
=9-6k-6.
=>-6k=6-9
=>-6k=-3
=>k=-3/-6
k = 1/2.
so the value of k is1/ 2.
hope my answer helped you.
