If x=3 is one root of the quadratic equation
[ X 2(square) --- 2Kx--- 6=0] , then find the value of k.

Putting x = 3 in the equation x^2 -2kx - 6 = 0, we get

3^2 -2×3×k - 6 = 0

9-6 -6k=0

k = 1/2

Then putting x=3 is the given eqn
 (2){3}^{2}  - 2(k)(3) - 6 = 0
18 - 6k - 6 = 0
 - 6k =  - 12
k =  2
