3^2_2*k3_6=0
9_6k-6=0k=1/2

Let P(x)= x2-2kx-6=0
substitute x=3 in p(x) we get ;
=) (3)2 -2k(3)-6=0
=) 9-6k-6=0
=) 3-6k=0
=) -6k=-3
=) k=3/6
=)k=1/2
