Apply remainder theorem

x + 2 = 0

→ x = -2

Then

x³ - kx² - 13x + 10

= -2³ - k(-2)² - 13(-2) + 10

= -8 - 4k + 26 + 10

= 32 - 4k

As the remainder is 4,

32 - 4k = 4

→ 4k = 28

→ k = 7

Step-by-step explanation:

Solution:

x+2=0

x=-2

According to Question:

X^3-kx^2-13x+10

(-2)^3-k(-2)^2-13*-2+10

-8-4k+26+10

28-4k

As reminder is 4(Question)

28-4k=4

-4k=4-28

4k=-24

k=24/4

k=6 ANS❣︎
