the length and breadth of a rectangle is given

Length = (x+3)

Breadth = (x-2)

We have to find the area of the rectangle

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

                             = (x+3)(x-2)

                            = x² + 3x - 2x - 6

                             = x² + x - 6

Hence, the area of the rectangle will be x² + x - 6 square units
