x = (4 -  \sqrt{15} ) \\  \frac{1}{x}  =  \frac{1}{(4 -  \sqrt{15} )  }  \\ \frac{1}{x}  =  \frac{1}{(4 -  \sqrt{15} )  }   \times  \frac{(4  +   \sqrt{15} )}{(4  + \sqrt{15} )}  \\  \frac{1}{x}  =  \frac{4  +  \sqrt{15} }{1}

Now,

x +  \frac{1}{x}  = 4 -  \sqrt{15}  + 4 +  \sqrt{15}  = 8
