Take

X+4 =4X-Y

3X-Y=4

Eqvation (1)

as given

X+4=Y+2

Y-X=2

Eqvation (2)

(1) + (2)

2X = 6

X= 3

Put the value of X in (2)

Y-2 =2

Y = 4

Then the value we define is

X=3

Y=4
