x + y = 4 ...(1)

x - y = y + 2 ...(2)

From (2)

x - y = y + 2

x - 2 = y - y

x - 2 = 0

x = 2

put the value of x in equation (1)

x + y = 4

2 + y = 4

y = 4 - 2

y = 2

Hence Solution (x,y) = (2,2)
