-(x+y)=(-x)+(-y)...........(1)

X=-4/7

Y=2/5

Then we put the value of X and Y in equation 1

-(-4/7+2/5)={-(-4/7)}+(-2/5)

-(-20+14/35)=(+14/7)-2/5

6/35=+4/7-2/5

6/35=20-14/35

6/35=6/35
