if x,4,y are in AP

we can write it as

x + y = 2*4

and \: if \: x \: 3 \: and \: y \: are \: in \: gp \: e \: can \: write \:  \\  =  > 3 =  \sqrt{xy}  \\  =  > xy = 9 \\  =  > x + y = 8 \\ we \: should \: find \:  \frac{1}{x}  +  \frac{1}{y }  =  \frac{x + y}{xy}  \\  =  > we \: know \: x + y = 8 \: and \: xy = 9 \:  \\ if \: we \: substitute \: in \: above \: form \: we \: will \\  \: get \: the \: answer \: in \: simplest \: way \:  \\  =  >  \frac{x  + y}{xy}  =  \frac{8}{9}  \\ your \: required \: answer \: is \:  \frac{8}{9}
