identity used in finding x^2 is given below
(a-b)^2 = a^2 -2ab + b^2

now to find 1/x^2 we have to rationalise the denominator and identity used over there us given below.
(a-b) (a+b) = a^2 - b^2

Hope u can understand it now.........

x²+(1/x)²=(x+1/x)²-2
putting value of x... (5-2√6+1/5-2√6)²-2
[{(5-2√6)²+1}/5-2√6]-2={(25+24-20√6+1)/5-2√6}
(50-20√6-10+4√6)/5-2√6=
(54-16√6)/5-2√6=
