Solution

Given :-

  • x = 5 - 2√6 .

Find :-

  • Value of (x + 1/x)³

Explanation

First calculate 1/x.

➡ 1/x = 1/(5-2√6)

Rationalize denominator

➡ 1/x = (5+2√6)/(5+2√6)(5-2√6)

➡1/x = (5+2√6)/(25-24)

➡1/x = (5+2√6)/1

➡1/x = (5+2√6)

______________________

Now, calculate ( x + 1/x)³

➡( x + 1/x)³

keep value of x & 1/x

➡ [ (5-2√6)+(5+2√6)]³

➡(5+5-2√6+2√6)³

➡10³

➡1000

Hence

  • Value of ( x + 1/x)³ will be = 1000
