if x=√5+2,then find the value of x²+1/x²

let's first substitute the values of x=(√5+2)²+1/(√5+2)²

=√5²+4√5+2²=9+4√5

=1/(√5+2)²= 1/9+4√5

after rationalizing the denominator we will get,

9-4√5/1=9-4√5

now,

9+4√5+9-4√5= 18
