(x+y)^(-1)= 1/(x+y)

If the power is a negative number , the we write the reciprocal of the number and give the positive power..

For example : x^(-3)= 1/(x^3)

I hope u understood that..

Then if u have any doubt regarding .. how 1/(80/63) got converted into 63/80 ..

1÷(80/63)

while doing division we multiply with the reciprocal..

so, 1×(63/80)
