5t²

since 5 is constant with respect to t, the derivative of 5t² with respect to t is

d

5 ────[ t²]

dt

Differentiate using power rule which states is ⇀

d

5 ────[ t^n] is nt ^ n-1

dt

where n = 2

5(2t)

= 10t

multiple 2 by 5

10t

Given:

x = 5 {t}^{2}

To find:

Velocity of object ?

Calculation:

  • Velocity function can be calculated by differentiation of displacement function with respect to time.

  • Let velocity in time t be v.

x = 5 {t}^{2}

 \implies \: v =  \dfrac{dx}{dt}

 \implies \: v =  \dfrac{d(5 {t}^{2} )}{dt}

 \implies \: v = 5 \dfrac{d( {t}^{2} )}{dt}

 \implies \: v = 5  \times 2t

 \implies \: v = 10t

So, velocity in time 't' is 10t.
