If x+5y=8 and xy=4, find the value of x3+125y3

Answer:

(x+y) ^3=x^3+y^3+3xy(x+y)

(x+5y) =x^3+125y^3+3x*5y(x+5y)

(8) ^3=x^3+125y^3+15*4(8)

512=x^3+125y^3+420

512-420=x^3+125y^3

92=x^3+125y^3
