Answer: X = 6-√35

1/X = 6+√ 35

X+1/X = 12

Now squaring...

x^2 + 1/x^2 + 2 = 144

So x^2 + 1/x^2 = 142

Answer:

142

Step-by-step explanation:

1/x=1/6-√35

1/x=1/6-√35×6+√35/6+√35

1/x= 6+√35/36-35

1/x=6+√35

Now

x^2+1/x^2= (6-√35)^2+(6+√35)^2

= 36+35-2×6×√35+36+35+2×6×√35

=36+35+36+35-12√35+12√35. ["-" and "+" are cancelled]

= 142

Hope this helps........
