To Find : evaluate the expression  

Solution:

Expression: 20 − 5 y + 2 x

  x = 6 and y = − 2

Substitute  values of x and y in the expression

= 20 - 5(-2)  + 2(6)

= 20 + 10  + 12

= 42

Hence Value of the expression is 42  when   x = 6 and y = − 2
