If (x-6) is a factor of (x3+ax2+bx-6) and a-b=7 then find a and b

x - 6 = 0

x = 6

So , (6)³ + a(6)² + b(6) - 6 = 0

216 + 36a + 6b - 6 = 0

36a + 6b = -210

6a + b = -35 --------(1)

a - b = 7 ------(2) ( given )

from equation (1) + (2)

7a = -28

a = -4

then b = -35 - 6(-4) = -35 + 24 = -11
