x+6 = 0

⇒ x = -6

Now, p(x) = x³+3x²+4x+k

= (-6)³+3(-6)²+4(-6)+k

= -216+3(36)-24+k

= -216+108-24+k

= k-132

Also given that (x+6) is a factor of p(x)

So, p(x)=0

k-132=0

k = 132
