if X/7=Y/9 then solve the equation (2x+7) : (2y+9) ???

Answer:

Given that,

 \frac{x}{7}  =  \frac{y}{9}  \\ then \\ x =  \frac{7y}{9}

Then,

2x + 1 = 2y + 9 \\ 2x = 2y + 8 \\ x = y + 4 \\

From earlier,

 \frac{7y}{9}  = y + 4 \\ 7y = 9y + 36 \\ 2y =  - 36 \\ y =  - 18

For x ,

x = y + 4 \\ x =  - 18 + 4 \\ x =  - 14
