 \huge \underline \mathfrak {Given:-}

x = 8/5

 \huge \underline \mathfrak {To\: prove:-}

-(-x) = x

 \huge \underline \mathfrak {Proof:-}

LHS = -(-x)

According to question, x = 8/5

= -(-8/5)

There is one minus sign outside the bracket, so it will change the sign of content inside the bracket.

= 8/5

Now,

RHS = x

It is given in the question that value of x is 8/5

So, RHS = 8/5

Therefore, LHS = RHS

It means that -(-x) = x.

Hence proved.
