Answer:

x+a=0

x=-a

put x = -a in both the expression

(-a)^2 -ap +q = (-a)^2 - apd + qd

apd - ap = qd - q

a(pd - p) = (qd - q)

a = (qd -q)/(pd - p)

qd means q dash and pd means p dash
