x+a=0

x=-a

putting the value

3(-a)2+6a(-a)-5(-a)-8=0

6a2-6a2+5a-8=0

5a+8=0

5a=-8

a=-8/5

shantasingh: no its

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

x+a = 0

x = -a

p(-a) = 3(-a)^2 + 6a(-a) + 5(-a) - 8 = 0

= -3a^2 - 6a^2 - 5a - 8 = 0

-9a^2 - 5a = 8

a(-9a - 5) = 8

a = 8/(-9a-5)

  = -8/9a-5
