hey friend.....
if x+a is a factor so x=-a
so by putting it in equation.....
2(-a)^2 + 3(-a)(a) +1=0
so by factorization it u will get ur answer

Answer:

 \red { Value \: of \: a } \green { = ±\sqrt{1}}

Step-by-step explanation:

 Let \: p(x) = 2x^{2} + 3ax + 1

 Given \: ( x + a ) \:is \: a \: factor \: of \:p(x)

 p(-a) = 0

\implies 2(-a)^{2} + 3a(-a) + 1 = 0

\implies 2a^{2} - 3a^{2} + 1 = 0

\implies -a^{2} + 1 = 0

\implies -a^{2} = -1

\implies a^{2} = 1

\implies a = ±\sqrt{1}

Therefore.,

 \red { Value \: of \: a } \green { = ±\sqrt{1}}
