x + a = 0

x = - a

______________

p(x) = x^3 + ax^2 - 3x + a + 5 = 0

p(-a) = (-a)^3 + a×(-a)^2 - 3×(-a) + 5 = 0

=> -a^3 + a^3 +3a + 5 = 0

=> 3a +5 = 0

=> a = \dfrac{-5}{3}
