Solution :

Let p(x) = 2x²+3ax+1

if x + a is a zero of p(x) then

p(-a) = 0

=> 2(-a)² + 3a(-a)+1 = 0

=> 2a²-3a² = -1

=> -a² = -1

=> a² = 1

=> a = ± 1
