HEY MATE YOUR ANSWER IS HERE
WE HAVE X² - Y² = ( a sec∅)² - ( a tan∅)²
= a² ( sec²∅ - tan²∅ )
= a² × 1
= a²
Thanks for the question hope it helps

★ Answer :
X = a sec∅ ........(1)
y = a tan∅ ..........(2)
As, we have to find the value of x² - y². Then, we get
→ x² - y² = (a sec∅)² - (a tan∅)²
→ x² - y² = a² Sec²∅ - a² tan²∅
→ x² - y² = a²(Sec²∅ - tan²∅)
We know that,
Sec²∅ - tan²∅ = 1
→ x² - y² = a²(1)
→ x² - y² = a²
