If x = a sin  and y = cos then find the value of x 2 + y 2

x 2 + y 2
= a sin 2 + cos 2
= 2 ( a sin + cos )

monikadeepak78: can we use the identity-sin2  + cos2
= 1 in this ques.

asin2+cos2=a×1=a

is it correct
