  • sin²θ + cos²θ = 1

▶  b² x² + a² y²

using eqn (1) and (2)

b² ( a sin∅ )² + a² ( b cos∅ )²

▶ b² a² sin²∅ + a² b² cos²∅

taking   b²a²  common

▶ b² a² ( sin²∅ + cos²∅ )

using trigonometric identity

sin²θ + cos²θ = 1

b² a² ( 1 )

▶ ( ab )²       ( Ans. )

⇰ 1 + tan²θ = sec²θ

⇰ 1 + cot²θ = cosec²θ

⇰ cosec θ = 1 / sinθ

⇰ sec θ = 1 / cosθ

⇰ tanθ = sinθ / cosθ

⇰ cotθ = cosθ / sinθ

⇰ sin ( 90 - θ ) = cos θ

⇰ cos ( 90 - θ ) = sin θ

⇰ cosec ( 90 - θ ) = sec θ

⇰ sec ( 90 - θ ) = cosec θ

⇰ tan ( 90 - θ ) = cot θ

⇰ cot ( 90 - θ ) = tan θ
