if x =a ,y -b is the solution of equations x-y =2 and x+y=4 ,then the values of a and b are

Answer:

take x =a and y = -b then

a-(-b) = 2

a+b = 2 ist equation

second equation is

a-b = 4

then add both eq

a+b =2

a-b =4

2a =6

a = 3

then put value of a in ist equation

3+ b =2

b = -3+2

b= -1
