Answer:

plss follow me and like my answers.

Step-by-step explanation:

given,

x=a

and , y= b

so, we get the equations:

a+b=5 ------––––1. { ×2 }

=> 2a +2b= 10

=> 2a-3b = 4. [ by elimination method]

sub - + -

________

5b= 6

b = 6/5

from (1) , we get

a+6/5 = 5

a = 5-6/5

a = 25-6÷5

a = 19/5

therefore , the value of a and b are

19/5. & 6/5 respectively.

I hope this will help you

Answer:

a=19/5 and b = 6/5

Step-by-step explanation:

a+b=5

a=5-b                     ....... (1)

2a-3b=4

substituting the value of a from eq (1) , we get ,

2(5-b)-3b=4

10-2b-3b=4

10-5b=4

10-4=5b

5b=6

b=6/5

sub. the value of b in eq 1

a=5-b

a=5-6/5

a=25-6/5

a=19/5

hope it helps
