If x and y are acute such that sin x =1/√5 and sin y =1/√10,prove that (x+y)=π/4

Here is your answer,

sin(x+y) = sin x x cos y +cos y x sin x beta
= 1/√5 x 3/√(10) + (2/√5)x 1/√(10)
= (1/√2)x(3/5) + (1/√2)x(2/5)In
=(1/√2)x [(3/5)+(2/5)] =1/√2
S0 x+y = pi/4
