Given :   x and y are both prime numbers such that X less than Y less than 50

To Find : maximum possible range of data 4,6,8, x ,y, 16

Solution:

x and y are prime

x < y < 50

47 is the largest prime number less than 50

x = 2 is the smallest prime number

2 < 47 < 70

4,6,8, 2 ,47, 16

2 , 4 , 6 , 7 , 16 , 47

Hence Range = 47 - 2 = 45

maximum possible range of data = 45
