If x and y are complementary angles then find mean of x and y

A Complementary angles add up to 90. Each of them has to be less than 90° (acute) as otherwise they would exceed 90, right

and mean of x and y = average of two nos = (x+y)/2

ATP

x + y =90

∴ mean of x and y = (x+y)/2  = 90 /2 =45 ANS
