If x and y are the number of possibilities that A can assume is such that the unit digit of A and A cube are same and the unit digit of A square and A cube are the same respectively, then the value of x - y is?(where A is a single digit number)

If the A and the unit digit of the cube and square of A is same then the possibilities are

Square. Cube

4. 16. 64

5. 25. 125

6. 36. 216

9. 81. 729


The only possibilities are 5 and 6 so 6-5=1
