Hi friend

If the A and the unit digit of the cube and square of A is same then the possibilities are

Square. Cube

4. 16. 64

5. 25. 125

6. 36. 216

9. 81. 729

The only possibilities are 5 and 6 so 6-5=1

Hope it helps you my friend

ATQ

x and y are the possibilities

then x must be=0/1/5/6 total=4

and y should be=1/5 total=2

(qualified by the options given)

hence

x-y=4-2=2
