Your answer mate

__________________________

x2 + 4y2 = 17

x2 + (2y)2 = 17

(x + 2y) square - 4xy = 17

(x + 2y)2 - 4(2) = 17

(x + 2y)2 - 8 = 17

(x + 2y)2 = 25

(x + 2y)2 = (5)2

x + 2y = 5 ans.......
